Graphics
I was actually impressed here. Typically simulator games focus more on the mechanics than the graphics. But that’s not really the case here. The workshop, the tools, and even the process of each task are pretty detailed. The game is very clear about what it is and the detail of all the elements was nicely done.
Controls Learning Curve
Weird first time experience. I did turn off the narrator because it was just a little to loud and the audio wasn’t the greatest. That said, I’m not entirely sure if he talks you through each task. There are tutorial boards that pop up for each thing you do near the conveyor belt. But for the most part the tasks are laid out where you can see what tasks you need to do for each item. Things are highlighted so you can find them. The gameplay is pretty straightforward being in VR. Grab brush and scrub object. Easy enough.
Storyline
No storyline here. You run a workshop. You take orders to restore items. Bam. Dass it.
Gameplay
Another impressive category here. I loved that the gameplay felt so realistic. The physics and collision were top tier. Everything you’d expect from brushing or scrubbing, it all had a great feel to it. The game is also super satisfying. Especially if you enjoy chill and relaxed games.
Replayability
This is definitely one of those games you come back to when you need to get out of your head for some time. I could see myself replaying this just to calm or relax myself. There are alot of items to restore which will give you plenty of game playing time. But 100% I could come back to the game and just play to relax.
Final Thoughts
Workshop Simulator VR was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t know what to expect going into it. But the detail is there. The game is super satisfying. It’s very relaxing. I really enjoyed playing it and I hope the devs continue to add more. This could be a great experience for people new to VR. Awesome.
