Review time!

Graphics

There’s no expectation here that you need the most unbelievable realistic graphics. They have their own style. The smooth cutesy graphics gives the game what it needs here.

Controls Learning Curve

Controls make take some time to get used to. Especially because you feel a little overwhelmed with all the buttons to click on the screen. But I’d recommend starting with an easy game, using one of the beginner friendly maps they mark with a green leaf, and paying close attention to the tutorial pop ups in the bottom right corner when you start the game. That help you on the right direction.

Storyline

Not much of a storyline here. This isn’t really an RPG so I didn’t go into it expecting a a storytelling masterpiece. I totally understood this is an automation game and if there’s a nice little story along with it, then I’m good with it.

Gameplay

If you’re a fan of automation games. This is a must have. The depth of this game is incredible. As a newcomer, I felt a little overwhelmed with everything at first. Once I got into the tutorial prompts it significantly helped me get started and learning just how much there is.

Replayability

Lots of replayability with Timberborn. There’s a number of maps you can try. I was on the Waterfall map for my playthrough. There’s different difficulties. The new update brings even more content. The team seems to be constantly working on this game.

Final Thoughts

As I said earlier, Timberborn is a must-have for automation fans. The deep gameplay and strategy can keep you invested. The different maps and difficulties will keep you wanting to try more. The fact that the team seems super passionate about keep the game fresh is encouraging. This is a great game sink some hours into.
