Now let’s Fire this review away!

Graphics

The graphics for Ashen Arrows have somewhat of a familiar feel. But that’s not a bad thing. I’m one to believe that VR games don’t need ultra realistic graphics to have nice looking games. This is one of those. The environments were full and the detail was enough to make me stop and look around at my surroundings a few times.

Controls Learning Curve

Not too difficult here. Your bow is your best friend. From collecting treasures to selecting buffs. Just pull back and fire away. Easy to pick up and learn quickly.

Storyline

Surprisingly this game has a wonderful story with it. Based on Nordic mythology and Viking era (Which is always super fun). Jumping right into the story when you start the game and you can choose to continue it after you finish the prologue.

Gameplay

I thought the gameplay was fun and super satisfying. Taking down waves of enemies. Using multiple different buffs and upgrades as you go. With some hilarious voice lines and fun surprises. I really did have a great time playing this.

Replayability

Tons of Replayability here. There’s different modes you can try. Play with friends in co-op mode. All sorts of different abilities to try. You could sink alot of time into Ashen Arrows.

Final Thoughts

I have to admit, this one surprised me. I wasn’t expecting it to be bad. But I didn’t expect how much fun I would have with it. Usually tower defense games get pretty repetitive and basic. But Ashen Arrows in VR is just a nice change of pace. I would definitely recommend this one
