Let’s sneak into this full review…

Graphics

Whew. These graphics are gorgeous. Stepping out into the lush landscape for the first time is amazing. The entire area is filled with something. Not overbearing. But enough to make you stop and take a look around. Even the NPCs are great looking. I was super impressed with Atomfall’s graphics.

Controls Learning Curve

The inventory menu and crafting might take some getting used to. Specifically the assignment of items to your d-pad if you play on controller. But it really wasn’t too difficult. The combat is pretty easy to pick up. If you’re familiar with survival games, you’ll be alright.

Storyline

The story is super interesting to me. Don’t worry I won’t spoil anything. But the fact you wake up and a bleeding scientist with a hazmat suit is the first to greet you. That should pull you into finding out what’s going on.

Gameplay

Solid gameplay. If you’ve played any of the Sniper Elite games, you’ll feel right at home. This is more focused on the survival which means you’ll have to really watch the ammo you use. I did also like when setting up your game you can choose the difficulty of Combat, Survival, and Exploration. Essentially making the game how you want to play and fine tuning the entire gameplay experience.

Replayability

I could see this as another one you could sink hours into. It did seem like there were plenty of side quests along the way to the main storyline. But with the gameplay options I mentioned above, there’s virtually a ton of ways to play this one.

Final Thoughts

This is a fun one. The fact that it' was Day One Xbox Gamepass is just beautiful. The game can be whatever you make it. Challenging or more slow and story driven. I love when devs give you ways to make the gameplay experience your own. The game can be intense or slow as you gather food and materials. Fantastic addition to Gamepass
