Let’s soar into this review…

Graphics

The graphics and art style is actually pretty beautiful. I love all the bright colors it really makes the world feel alive. The monsters, the plants, the landscape. It all looks great. Similar to a Breath of the wild type look.

Controls Learning Curve

I feel like this might be an issue if you’re starting the game. There are tutorial missions but most of the early missions had me a little confused on how to do certain things. I feel like I figured out the portal situation after a few times of collecting resources. Learning the game isn’t super difficult, you just have some areas that could be explained better.

Storyline

There is a bit of a storyline here with missions and quests, which I don’t want to spoil anything. But more or less this felt like a Survival Monster Hunter type game. Felt like the focus was building your tribe and upgrading your equipment.

Gameplay

Gameplay feels pretty solid. I love the gliding and grapple hook mechanics. Really helps you get around quicker. The gliding really does give you such a good look at the landscape. The monster hunting felt fun too. The journal with art work and descriptions of each monster was a really nice addition.

Replayability

Obviously there’s a ton of hours you could put into this. I think the addition of multiplayer makes it far more likely you’ll come back to this game.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, Single player felt a little odd to me. Felt like this one should be player with atleast another friend. Think that’s where Fera can shine. Single player isn’t bad but resource gathering and hunting alone can sometimes feel a little tedious.
